Spurs bounce back, best gutsy Hornets: 105-115.

Cody Zeller had 18 points & 6 rebounds.
Charlotte gave a solid effort, before losing steam and giving up a 10-0 run to end the game. Terry Rozier, III had just 12 points with 7 assists, hounded by Avery Bradley to the result of 5 turnovers. Meanwhile, Bradley had 12 points with 4 steals. The Hornets were struggling with ball control all game long, totaling 17 losses that converted into 16 steals by the Spurs. Charlotte also had zero luck from long range, going a staggering 1-17.

That isn't to say that San Antone was its usual sharp shelf from the perimeter, hitting just 9 threes and shying away from it early, instead capitalizing on Charlotte's poor transition defense. Brandon Ingram flourished from this, moving past a cold shooting spell to start the game, finishing with 20 points & 8 rebounds (8-15) and going on to hit two perimeter shots in rhythm. J.R. Smith redeemed his last game with 18 points, swiping four steals and stunning the home crowd late to hit two threes. P.J. Tucker had a better game with 11 points, hitting a three. Jarrett Allen chipped in eleven points, but Timofey Mosgov had a double-double of 10/10 and was an iron wall on defense with 4 blocks, two in the first quarter. Dejounte Murray eventually got to 10 points, dishing 9 assists as compensation. Stauskas had 9.

The Spurs will need to execute this well again, as they next face both high-seed Los Angeles squads.
