To much delight for the home crowd and team, Dragan Bender erupted for 30 points and 11 rebounds, going 12-22 and hitting 4-8 from long range after a solid first quarter by Timofey Mosgov (10 points, 7 rebounds). Brandon Ingram recovered from his modest showing against the Clippers to gain 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists with 1 steal on a 9-16 night. Avery Bradley hammered it home past Eric Bledsoe (23 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists) early for 14 points, dunking it down hard.
For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo slow-burned his way to a triple-double, waiting too long to take over the contest, despite 32 points, 10 rebounds & 10 assists (13-19, 2 blocks). Wes Matthews let it fly too much, chilling the comeback hopes in a 5-17 display (15 points, 3 steals). Brook Lopez had 15 points and 5 rebounds with 2 blocks for Milwaukee. Khris Middleton was incognito tonight, with just 11 points. New Buck Kyle Korver scored nine in the loss.
The Spurs went 57% overall, as Dejounte Murray (13 points) made a clutch reverse layup as the Bucks sneaked within single digits down the stretch, the lead back up to 10 soon thereafter. Taurean Prince scored 12 points, as Omri Casspi splashed in a trio of tres. Jeremy Lin slashed his way to 7 points.
